Did an exercise to check how much fuel in the tank when the wire bottoms out. Not that I ever want to get there but I was just curious. I used a clear windshield washer jug and marked it at 1 gallon. I drained the tank and put the plane in flight attitude.

The first observation I made was how much 100LL looks like windshield washer fluid.

The next observation was the fuel sticks sold on this forum are very accurate.

And what I really wanted to know in the 1st place was it took 1.5 gallons before the wire started to move. With the tail on the ground it took 2.5 gallons.
