The C90-12F is installed in a J3c per SA00270BO. Nothing specific on the carb is mentioned. Nothing mentioned in TCDS A-691 for the C90-8F either. TCDS E-252 for the engine permits Continental MA-3SPA numbers 627367,629175,637101,637835. Of those carbs only 637101 (10-4252-1), and 637835 (10-5082) are built for a minimum fuel head of 5". The others are built for 6" head I assume for aircraft with wing tanks. Just some info I ran into doing the installation. What factory aircraft(s) with gravity feed fuselage fuel tank installed the C90 engines with MS carbs ??? Would be interesting to look at their TCDS for carb numbers. A really good IA (like mine) will confirm the correct carb # for my installation !
