Where to put kids passengers ?

I'm a PA-11 driver. I learned in a J3, but lately all my time is front seat PA-11. I did a bunch of landings today from the rear seat-- uneventful transition.

I'm just wondering if taking small people (my kids) for a ride if they'd appreciate sitting in front of in back more? Any thoughts ? Where do most of you put passengers? Would it depend if they were big or small, as I can see how the rear seat would be more comfortable for big...
