Tach rotation

I am changing engines from a 65 to an 85. I would like to keep my original cream face tach that rotates CCW but the 85 drive turns the other way. I called Keystone and the lady was indefinite about the solution. ("Send it in and we will see what we can do. Min charge $275") My tach has not been used since a Keystone overhaul. Is there an adapter to solve this problem? If so, where can I get one?
