I'm looking at Cub with a serial # in the 8800"s. According to the FAA website and the serial number it's a 1942 model. The owner is convinced it is a 1946 and the data plate(not original) shows 1946. It has a metal spar. No paper work on the spar being replaced but obviously it has somewhere along the line. I can't seem to convince the owner it is not a 1946 year model. Not the it matters much between a 58 yr. old airplane and a 54 yr. old airplane. Any place I can look to help clear this up.
Thanks
