The oil temp gauge on my two in one is inop. It was that way when the plane was purchased and I don’t know the history of it. Hit the probe with a heat gun and the needle didn’t register at all. Are there any low hanging fruit troubleshooting ideas? Are they typically salvageable? Is there a recommended shop for these old instruments?

Thank you guys for all the help lately. My Cub is coming along nicely.
