Finally bit the bullet. The handheld was loud and clear to other airplanes, but not to that expensive receiver in the tower.

So, Garmin GTR-200 and PM 500. Just came in today - $1600 worth. Neither had an installation manual, or even a pin- out diagram.

I have never before purchased a radio or intercom without receiving at least a pin- out diagram. This must be a new trend - figure it out yourself, dirtbag.

I will of course contact Garmin and PS Industries. Strange!
