Made the trip with my SC. Started out as planned on Monday Sep.15,2008. Gassed up at Redding CA
Stoped for over night at Roseberg OR. Stayed at the Wind Mill Inn about 1/2 mi from airport.
Nx day, Tuesday, flew up to Portland and refueled at Troutdale then on to Yakima.
Amazingly, had a good 20+ tail wind both days. On my return flt, refueled at Redmond OR, then on to Klamath falls for the nite. Heavy smoke east of Crater Lake. Stayed at the Microtel hotel.
Nx day down to Redding CA for gas - nice deli at Jet Center. Then last leg back to San Rafael.
The return flight was with head winds. Hey you can't get them all.

While at Yakima stayed at the Oxford Inn for the nx 7days. Got a good rate on the Cub Crafters package for $70/nite
Used Hertz car rental - was less than half price of the competitor.
The weather was great all week except for the one day on Saturday for the Open house; light driz to moderate rain! Good enough tho for flying into the nice grass field of Buena for the fly in and lunch.
Met several Sport Cub owners. George Hoover, Dick Epplett, Ken Austen, Bob Bright (flew his SC from Oklahoma), Barnard, from Montreal who bought a CC Top Cub and other SC owners.
CC employees were all around to answer questions and gave helpful hints like Customer Support and A&P Becky Teerink and Steve Hamblin CC engineer.
