Searched the forum and can’t find an answer. I have a desiccant air dryer that was used on an IO540 that I would like to modify to use on my J3’s Continental 65 HP. I’m just not sure if the kidney oil tank design of the engine will allow the dry air to enter via the dipstick tube and return thru the crankcase breather tube. I have seen the effects of moisture on the internal components of these engines from under use. I am hoping this might help prevent moisture in the crankcase etc during the winter when there are fewer flights being conducted. I would welcome any insight that my fellow owners could provide.
