Would be interested to know what current thinking is with respect to using lock washers on engine and accessory case.

As Palnuts are virtually as obsolete as dinosaurs, when assembling the engine case and accessory housing, should a flat washer then either a split ring or starlock be used before putting the nuts on the case bolts and torque down?

In specific, this would be for an A-65, but also for any of the A or C models?

I've seen and heard some say yes and some say no.
