Hello,

I'm still on my hunt for a J3 or PA-11. I noticed this Henderson J3 Little Bear for sale on barnstormers: https://www.barnstormers.com/classified_1193179_Henderson+J-3+Cub.html

I've traded a couple emails with the owner and he's been very helpful, but one question I have that he doesn't know is if it is dimensionally and part compatible with a Piper J-3? Meaning, if something goes wrong, does it use off the shelf Piper parts to repair. This would include the fuselage, wing ribs, windows, just about anything really.

He did say it uses the same jigs as the other 50+ that Dave Henderson built. Searching these forums, it appears that Dave is very knowledgeable and well respected. That's good! But, it's knew to me.

Any thoughts or input on Henderson Cubs? Also, could it really only be 640 empty? Owner said that only mod since it was built was moving from 65hp to 85hp. I know that adds weight, but likely not too much.

Thanks!
