My L-4 is missing the heater air box scoop. The lower cowling (a Univair repro) has the necessary hole which lines up with the heater box.

Would a later production L-4A have had this scoop?

What's the correct orientation for the scoop? Facing forward, is it a scoop, or, facing aft, does it help draw warm air through the heater system, giving it a place to exhaust when the heater is not in use?

Thanks!
