Anyone else completed a ForeFlight profile?
Here’s my input data:
Front Seat: 9 inches
Rear Seat: 36 inches
Baggage: 49 inches
Oil Sump: -29 inches
Fuel tanks: 24 inches
Note: I have 18 gallon wing tanks; I used 24 as I’ve seen it on other profiles and it seems about right; but I can’t find a definitive source for this arm.
Empty weight and arm (per aircraft logbook): 710 pounds and 14.9 inches
Range per W&B data: 10.6-22.7 inches
My question is with the creation of the 2D profile. The ForeFlight W&B guide says for aircraft that do not provide a graphical envelope and only provide a single fore/aft limit:
“Begin by entering the forward CG limit for the aircraft's maximum weight, followed by the forward limit for the minimum weight. If the aircraft does not have a defined minimum weight, use the aircraft's basic empty weight or an equivalent value”
Ok…so basically I’m making a square CG envelope. I simply added as follows:
Forward limit 1 - 1220 / 10.6
Forward limit 2 - 710 / 10.6
Aft limit 1 - 1220 / 22.7
Aft limit 2 - 710 / 22.7
Does that seem correct for a Cub? Did I make some huge error in the creation of the 2D envelope?
I attached pictures of the instructions, and also a sample forward and aft loading. I can’t get it out this CG range with a 200 pound person in either seat and full wing tanks.
