Hi guys,

I have decided to put my C85-12F up for sale. The engine was certified until recently, when the previous owner put his PA-15 Vagabond into "owner maintenance" and had to put an X on the serial number. I have the logs for this engine, a little over 1400 hours.

My PA-17 has an A-75 which is serving me well, and seeing as my plane is certified, I can't use the C-85 engine as is.

I am asking $3000 firm, and am not willing to ship it. It has both mags and the carb. It was running when removed, and it worked flawlessly in my friends PA-15. I flew over 60 hours on it in his plane before he dropped in an O-200 and sold me this C-85.

It appears someone stole the screws out of the cap of one magneto, and the oil filter adapter is cracked so should be replaced, but otherwise it is a good working engine. That being said, I will make no guarantees about this engine.

If I can get $3000, I will part with it. If not, I will let it continue to sit in the hangar until I can afford the O-200 internals STC and overhaul it.

Your thoughts are welcomed on the price, I am not really sure what it is worth, but it is worth $3000 or more to me.

I can post pics if anyone is truly interested.

Cheers,

Joel
