Has anyone considered external power on a Cub? I have a 1946 J3 with C85-12F on floats. There is a Gill battery installed behind the rear seat that is used for electric starts only. It weighs 25 lbs including tray and cables, I want to remove the battery but keep the ability to use the electric starter at my dock.

Thoughts?
