Hello Everyone,

New member with a recently acquired a Wag Cubby.
Winter project is thorough inspection and replacing hardware.

I am in the process of checking the control system.
I have a question on the elevator bell crank.

The two bolts that hold the ball cover on.

So far this is what I have

PA-11 parts is special bolt - 42731 Univair has them for $63 Each!
J3 parts - can’t find reference.
Current bolt is BAC B30NE3 and a NAS 679 nut
The BAC bolt seems to cross reference to NAS6603

Any idea why this needs to be a special bolt?
Any reason not to replace with a NAS6603?

What is the general consensus - internal locking nut or castle with cotter pin?

Thanks
