I was recently given permission to view the records of the Piedmont Aviation Historical Society; In which I found these interesting bits of correspondence from 1938 between the president of Camel City Flying Service (What became Piedmont Aviation, and in 1948 started Piedmont Airlines.) and Piper.

The first document is a memo describing the standard equipment of the different Cub models, the second introduces new 'Cub Sport' demonstrators to be offered to Piper dealers. While the third set of documents is a response for a request for a new pant chart, and discussion of the the upcoming J4 Cub Coupe.

There are several hundred documents like these, if anyone else finds them as interesting as I do I'll gladly post some more.

James
