Looking for thoughts on what to do with my 46 Cub with a cracked case seeping oil. the engine is a Continental A75-8F. The crack is on the left side between the 2 and 4 cylinders. Replace with newly rebuilt or used engine, get another case and rebuild, repair case and rebuild, sell plane as is with full disclosure??? Plane was completely restored with rebuilt zero-time engine by a reputable engine shop about 9 years ago and 140 hours ago. I am first owner since restoration, and I have flown it regularly. Also, what causes a case to crack? Thanks, in advance for your thoughts.
