I just got another cabin heat box installed on my Cub ( I know, who needs a heater in a cub in SC right?) I have read all the stories of the cold and snow. We had our first snow in 5 years, my dogs and my boys loved it.
Back to my question. It is a very tight fit for the hoses. The exhaust port from the box to the outside (heat box in the off position) leaves the box shooting hot air toward my gasolator. I put the red flex hose on and pointed it down and out of the bottom of the engine cowl. How far do you think that hose needs to go to be safe. Maybe I should just let it blow on the oil kidney! It sure does not look nice hanging out of the bottom. Prior to putting this unit on I had no hose from the muffler shroud at all, the heat was just blowing down into the engine compartment in front of the firewall.
Any information on a heater box will be appreciated.
