Winds 18 G 24. I never taxi out when gusts exceed 27, but am delighted when they go up afterwards.

There are lots of variables, but it helps ifnthe winds are fairly steady. Today they got up to a reported 22 G 31, and I got a couple of 35' landings in.

Remember, I take the attitude that the airplane length is part of the equation. When I inched across the threshold airborne, I was barely moving. Touchdown was with the tailwnheel on the threahold. Main mounts probably rolled ten feet to a dead stop.

Tower wanted to release a Cessna when I was on a quarter mile final. I just stopped. The GPs had frozen up, so I did not get an official zero groundspeed readout. Previous flight was in the New Cub with better GPS, but lighter reported winds - I saw 11 knots on final.

Most fun I have had in a long time!
