Having just completed my Sport Pilot certification in a rental aircraft that typically receives multiple 100-hour inspections per year, I happened upon the logbooks of a an aircraft that has had a single owner for over 30 years, and has passed annual inspections given in almost every calendar year. It has been flown in a pretty consistent pattern of an hour or so a month in the spring and fall, and two hours or so each month in the summer. It's tube and fabric, and kept hangared year round, but I don't know if the hangar is heated.
Is this typical, and is there any reason this would have negative consequences for the aircraft, engine, or wood propeller? [It has no electrical system.]
