Again trying to match an older beautiful color. No deal. Norm worked really hard to get a close approximation.

I just bought a small can of Lock Haven Yellow - not much $ invested, fortunately. The new Lock Haven yellow is a pastel shade, very much like that Cub that sits outside at First Flight SDM. A sacrilege to paint a Cub in pastel yellow.

Rumor has it that it is the lack of chromium in the pigment. I wonder how Stewarts does it - they still have a very good match to the brighter Cub yellow that used to be the Poly Tone mainstay.
