Well, need some help.
Turns out my C85-8F engine has a stromberg carb NA-S3B with a 380167-3 flange. That turns out to be the set up for a C65.
The " correct numbers" should be NA-S3A1 with 380167-2 flange.
If this is correct we are flying with wrong parts and probably illegal? Won't be the first time I'm sure( or last).
Thinking about Marvel Schebler but they don't have a " number" for the -8.. Only -12! It's basically the same engine without the case for the starter/ accessory.
The STC for the C65/C85 conversion has no guidance for carbs. Only a lot of specs/ setup for props.
would you try for the Marvel Schebler change out or have one of the following restore your carb.. Terri Bell, Dons Dream Machines or the "Stromberg Whisperer" Bob??
Missing out on a GREAT pancake breakfast today at Chandelle .. Great weather too!! Whine, whine!..oh we'll just mix up some Aunt Jamimas batter!
