Here is another ELT mount possibility for someone recovering a Cub. It is very convenient and out of the way but it does require a small hole in your interior fabric near the original magneto switch panel. The aluminum plate is affixed to the left wing compression strut nearest the cabin and ELT is mounted between wing and fuselage . Since it is concealed by the wing root fairings if desired a small hole can be made in upper root fairing and antennae mounted on top. A small hole large enough for a finger is made so that the ELT can be controlled from the flight deck(woke term for cockpit). Some small placard is placed by the hole saying Off,On and armed
