Michael Watkins called today and said the wing has been inspected and is ready to recover. We replaced cables, pulleys, wing tip bows, leading edges and trailing edges. The total price of all parts excluding covering and paint was little over 1800. Anyway he mentioned that each aileron was signed by someone in the plant when it was built in 1947. Its amazing how they took so much pride in what they did. I wonder if they ever imagined someone would be reading it in 2008? I will be posting lots of pictures next week. ;D ;D ;D
