I'm in the middle of restoring a 1945 J3, all done except for wings. We wanted to keep it original with the wood spars and are assembling them now.
Anyone have a bolt/fastener kit supplier, or a list of the bolts, fasteners, and hardware needed for wing assembly? The J3 parts manual references the part numbers 750-717 ("SET OF BOLTS, NUTS AND HARDWARE FOR WING PANELS - INTERNAL") and 750-260 ("SET OF BOLTS, NUTS AND HARDWARE FOR WING PANELS - EXTERNAL"), but it doesn't break those part numbers down into the list of hardware.
Also, what's weird is that the J3 Parts Manual has these same kits listed for both the wood AND aluminum spar wings... which can't be correct, since the metal spar is thinner than the wood and bolts wouldn't be the correct size for both spars.
Dakota Cub has a #J3WINGFASTENERS kit, but it is for metal spar wings only. Any help or wisdom from you guys would be much appreciated!
