Howdy Group,

A hypothetical question; how old does fabric have to be before it is too old?

I'm asking about Ceconite or some other non-cotton fabric. The airplane would have been kept in a hanger and may or may not have cracks in the paint that expose the fabric. Using a flashlight to look down the tailcone doesn't show any rust.

I've seen planes advertised with 30 and 40 year old covering.

Thanks for the help,

Eric
