What is this?

I have been disassembling everything and repainting it as long as my engine is being overhauled. As embarrassed as I am to ask what this may go to, I have no other choice. I was under the assumption that it may be part of the torque tube assembly but cannot find it in any parts breakdown and it doesn’t seem to fit anywhere into the torque tube assembly.
