Looking to bead blast my 1940 J3 fuselage. Going to clean up area where grinding/welding for new gear fittings is needed before taking to welder. Will blast more of the fuselage once the welding is complete.

What grit is best used? Partial to Black Magic as it has worked very well for me on auto parts. Wasn't concerned about part erosion on old car frames, but wonder about the mild steel tubing in my fuselage.

What grit/medium have people used? Warnings or cautions? Definitely don't want to make extra work.
