Dear Fellows,

Would you share your opinion about an issue.

The valve gap (clearance when the lifter is deflated), tends to increase or decrease as the engine is used?

The result of the valve head and seat wear is to decrease the gap. On the other hand the wear of all other parts (rocker, pushrods, cam) increases the gap.

What have you observed: as time goes by, the gap increases or decreases?
