I've read where many don't think it's necessary to convert to a PA-18 double groove pulley trim system, as long as the J-3 system is maintained. it should work fine. Ok, I'm leaning to leaving it stock, but is it better to change the front pulley to a metal one vs the original, I believe they were micarta pulley? Are the metal one's less likely to slip, seems like I heard that once.
Also, at rebuild time, is it a good idea to change the trim cable, or use the old one as long as there's no fraying?
Any recommendations on what to use for the trim indicator cable?
Thanks
Brian
