Thank you all for your input to my first thread. I tried trimming the plane in flight after releasing the stick, but that did not work. I would like to try wrapping a turn of old fashion tire tape in the front pulley as some have suggested. I am not familiar with that tape, could you provide more info on it and where I might get it? Can the forward pulley P/N 41171-00 be replaced without cutting a hole in the left hand side of the fuselage as it is showing wear?
Comparing the separation distance between the cables, at the back of the cable assembly near the stabilizer screw pulley, with that on another J3; the distance in my J3 is only about 1/4 of an inch where as the other J3 has more than an inch of separation. I was told that my cable assembly has been tightened up as far as it can go and that maybe cable length is not right.
Both pulley P/N 41171-00 and the cable itself were supposed to have been replaced.
