Question for you L-4 experts ... The Tachometer cable that connects to the engine tach drive pin on a C-85 .... I purchased the cable from the Texas company as others did with the right angle drive off the back of the Tachometer instrument. It makes a pretty good 90° bend going the the engine drive pin. There are two issues we are seeing ...
  1. Oil is leaking from the cable sheath that enters the nut that fastens to the engine tach drive pin, is there a washer I may have missed or ?
  2. The tach which was rebuilt and runs smooth with no cable attached, the needle is jumpy and does not move smoothly with engine RPM.
Any ideas on what to look for or try or I missed?
Thanks again for the help. KAP
