Just picked up a pair of Stewart Warner cream faced tachs, both of which will go in to Keystone for overhaul and both are currently CCW. My Cub will have a C85-12 on it (CW), but with a right angle drive I can work with the CCW tachs. So the question would be...what is the general consensus on "preferred" tach rotation...CW or CCW? It also appears that CW tachs are tough to find so would I be better served to have at least one of them (that might serve as a backup or for a future project...or trade fodder for another gauge down the road) rebuilt in a CW configuration? My initial thoughts were do both CW, but the more I look at CCW the more I am leaning that direction. Other than -8 or -12, was there a determining factor or time frame where a CW or CCW tach would have been period correct for a Cub?

Appreciate the input...
