My cork float is in pretty sad shape. I ordered a brass Ford float to solder to a piece of wire and may end up going that route, but I kinda like the look of the cork. I'd like to turn a new cork float but can't find cork rod stock in an appropriate size. My current float is 1-1/2" diameter by 2-1/2" long. All the cork I've found online is either small wine corks or pre-drilled with a large diameter hole for fishing rod handles. Does anyone know of a source for round cork at least 1-1/2" diameter?
