Gang,

I've threatened it several times before, but I've actually had it with my Maule 8" pneumatic T/W. Not 30 hours on it, new tail spring, geometry is correct, everything's new, adjusted the chain tension several times...and it still shimmys!

I've got students lined up so I'm throwing the Scott 3200 on it. I was going to get a new assembly, but Spruce has an adapter so I can use my 1 3/4" on my 1 1/2" tailwheel spring on the J-3. Anybody have any issues using one of these adapters on their Cubs? http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/lgpages/scottadaptkit2.php
