Hi everyone,
I have a real problem that I need some input, advise, and help with.
For the past 18 months, because of medical issues, I have only been able to fly my '46 Cub,
with an A-75 engine, about 10 hours.
I keep it in the Seattle area, in an enclosed, modern hanger.
Unfortunately, a layer of rust has developed on the inside of the tube (throat) of the oil tank , just below the cap.
It seems to be safely in place at the time, but I am sure it will only get worse.
Does anyone have any experience with this??
And any suggestions to repair it without totally taking the tank out, and "restoring it", which I have done once when it was totally rebuilt.
Thanks, in advance,
Dave Hendry
