When I removed my rudder pedals the parts of the bottom tube that rest in the brackets were shiny and clean as were the inside of the “U” brackets. as though these areas hadn’t been painted, or perhaps just that the paint had worn off. However, most pictures of “new” rudder pedals that are being installed seem to show them full painted. What do most people do? It would seem to me best not to paint this area.
