I need either a retained tachometer cable for my c-85-12 PA-11 or can overhaul My Stewart Warner made for Cessna tachometer, which has stopped recording. I bought a Mitchell recording tach as a replacement

, but it only works with retained tach cables. Buyer beware, the only place that “retained “ is mentioned is in the installation instructions on the Mitchell website. On Aircraft Spruce, nothing is said.
Also, the Mitchell tachometer arrived with a cracked glass face. It cost me an extra $60 shipping to get it repaired.
