A nice nostalgic article written by Lars Waegner about his flight training & soloing a Cub (actually an L-4) in Germany in the late 1950's.

Check out the knobby tires, they look pretty cool! Also, check out what appears to be hydraulic shock struts - no bungees. Love the patched cowlings, and dented leading edges.
