A friend has a J-3 Cub with an 18 gallon wing tank. The nose tank was removed. All work was done years ago and was approved. If the weight and balance is with CG limits, are you allowed to fly this cub from the front seat?
What about when J-3'sthat are modified to PA-11 configurations? It's still a J-3 and has a placard that says rear seat solo only...........although it might not be in the airplane after being modified, are you allowed to solo these airplanes from the front seat, again as long as the W&B is within limits.
