I thought I was ready for fuselage cover - tubes were all blasted and epoxy primed but decided to punch test the lower longerons and lower tailpost even though they looked fairly good. I had noticed some pock marks after blasting and when punched with the Maule tester found some weak spots in the back 6 inches of the bottom longerons and bottom couple of inches of the tail post.

Put the bore scope down the tail post (J2 so fin is separate) and saw the corrosion on the bottom. Could anyone advise me how to proceed with replacing the bad tubing especially with how to jig the rear so nothing moves out of place.

I have replaced rear longerons sections in the past when I could do them one at a time to minimize misalignment. But with the tailpost needing attention I am sure a jig of some type is needed. Any advice, help or past successes would be greatly appreciated. Pictures would be terrific.

Thanks everyone
Bill
