Hi-hope that this question is appropriate here. I have limited x county experience and bought a 75HP J4 out in Idaho. Looking at all options to move it to Ks. The plane is in Orofino. There is pretty serious terrain in all directions. From the charts I have available, it looks like the thing better be able to fly and cruise AT an altitude of AT LEAST 8000ft. Is this realistic? There is a pass or 2 where there WILL BE some serious pucker factor at that alt. Service ceiling is listed as 12000 and 15000 on internet. Plane will be flown solo with minimum baggage.
I am assessing my own (lack of) experience as well as every other possible scenario and consideration. Always seeking advice and recommendations from those with experience and wisdom. Thanks for any input.
