Is there a specific procedure/process to index the prop on installation? I noticed that my McCauley metal prop has a 1 and a 2 stamped on each blade and there are basically 6 positions it could be installed at. It is a c90-8 so prop location for starting is important. When mine stops its normally almost straight up and down. Are there harmonic differences depending on where its installed on the hub? I marked it relative to the old crank when I removed it but that does not mean it was correct when it was originally installed. I am not chasing a problem but simply circling back to some details.
