After all these years of working to solve this problem, I have at last/least isolated where the whale sound is coming from, at least in my house.
I bought a new flightcom intercom due to the old one just wasn't working well.
I brought everything into the house tonight and connected everything (intercom, two head sets and my ICom 24A) I have a spare ICom radio to talk to.
Everytime I press the transmit button from the pilot mic I hear a loud squeel, it does not do it if only plugged into the co-pilot side. Maybe because he does not transmit through the intercom ?
It seems to be coming from the pigtail that plugs into my radio! Now if I can isolate what part of it is causing the issue I may can repair it or have to fork out $48 plus shipping for a new one from AC Spruce and hope that was the problem.
Any comments advice?
