I recently completed an O-200 powered cub (Experimental Category) in it I installed a skytech starter and an odessy pc310 battery 6 lbs , battery underthe front seat. It works well plenty of cranking power, so far over 14 starts without recharge and counting. It all works fine, but today a friend stopped by with an " Imazing" portable battery pack, Wow ! If I had known of it I could have saved time , money and weight. It truly is amazing. About the size of a novel . Anyhow, the claimed performance is for up to 10L gas engine 30 starts. Seems to me one of these in the flight bag could be used o start a non electric cub, Obviously you would need a starter, connected to an aux power plug, modify the supplied " Imazing" jumper cable to use the aux power plug connection and you are good to go. The darn thing also had USB ports and A 12volt aux power receptacle. All in all pretty cool. Apparently there are others as well. I need to get out more often...
