I am wondering if anyone has had the pitot tube extension (smaller diameter copper tube extending forward of the tube in the jury strut) crack at the line where it comes out of the solder (at least that is what is looks like?)? I do not think it would be too hard to simple drill out the stub and replace the copper tube by soldering...or maybe remove it by heating the existing joint and then replacing in kind. I was wondering though if anyone has tried replacing it with stainless tubing instead? I also am assuming that as long as the OD and ID of the replacement tube is correct, and the incidence of the tube is per the piper jury strut part drawing, all will be well after replacement?
Thanks!
