Not directly J-3 related, but found this interesting in relation to the J-3 discussions about not rapidly advancing or "cobbing" the throttle. Apparently this placard was an AD on the Pawnees at one time, and then subsequently cancelled. I know almost zero about the Pawnee, not sure what the root cause was. The issue was "to prevent power interruption as a result of abrupt throttle movement." Can't hurt being smooth with the throttle.
