Dear L-Birdlovers,
First of all, I would like to thank you all for the information you made available on the j3-Cub-forum in the past 2 1/2 years. This information has been invaluable to me and resulted in the purchase of a beautiful 1945 Piper Cub L4J this week! Not just one! You probably know her from Youtube. It's the "2016 EAA Sweepstake” restored by Colin Powers, very rare Pacific war veteran! I am proud that the current owner has chosen me to take care of her for the next coming years.
For now, she will be taken care off by Sam Taber, who will disassemble and prep her to make the crossing to the Netherlands. Egmond Vintage Wings will put her together again.
The search was interesting, intensive and therefore I met a lot of nice people. In the end, fate determined. After more than 75 years, she will accompany her sisters in the ETO. I look forward to flights with you and would love to meet you at the air shows!
