The -8 on my J3 suffered prop strike, and I am replacing with -12F. I know I need blocking plates, but it is not clear to me if I need a plug for the starter to prevent oil pressure loss. Seems like the O200 generally need a plug, but it is not clear to me if it is needed on C85. I am in NY visiting my dad and the engine/plane is in CLT; I am trying to collect the parts I need while I am here so I can put it together once I get back to CLT. In other words, I can't just look at it to see if there's an oil passage in the bore. The -12 has a pull starter.

I guess I would like ANY advise anyone has to offer for doing this install.

Thanks guys, I love this place - one of the best, if not the best, group of forum guys out there!
